Halton Region

Halton Region encompasses the municipalities of Oakville, Burlington, Halton Hills and Milton. As the western gateway to the Greater Toronto Area, the region provides quick access to U.S. border crossings and two international airports.

A network of roads and highways, which includes the Queen Elizabeth Way, Highways 401, 403 and the 407 ETR, links the four Halton Region municipalities. Serviced lands provide businesses with a variety of locations to meet diverse needs.

Halton Region has a diversified economic base featuring such sectors as advanced manufacturing, automotive, metal processing, knowledge-based industries, tourism, professional services, and scientific and technical services.

Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning, renowned for its digital media animation technology, is located in Halton. The picturesque Niagara Escarpment and the shoreline of Lake Ontario provide a natural backdrop for recreational pursuits and an attractive quality of life.
